Sleeping Lady Foundation

Sleeping Lady Foundation brings speakers and events to our local area, giving us the opportunity to meet and learn from people who are "changing the world." Past speakers have included Wangari Maathai, the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate; Morris Dees, founder of the Southern Poverty Law Center; Maya Lin, creator of the Vietnam War Memorial; Zainab Salbi, founder of Women for Women International; Mark Bittman, author of Food Matters; John Dau, one of the lost boys of the Sudan who was featured in the award-winning documentary God Grew Tired of Us; the "Dog Whisperer" Cesar Milan, and many more.
